The business programme focused on critical minerals, new projects, operational efficiency, digitalisation and artificial intelligence. Kazakhstan’s mining industry is going through a period of change. Investment and regulatory priorities are evolving, new technological challenges are emerging, and companies are taking an increasingly considered approach to future projects and procurement.
A dedicated team worked on the CAMS stand, with one key objective: to present our approach and the full scope of our activities.
One of the centrepieces of the stand was a refurbished Epiroc rock drill — a real example of how equipment that has already been in operation can undergo engineering assessment, refurbishment and quality control before being returned to service.
We also presented a model of the CAMS production facility in Karaganda, scheduled to open in October. The facility will provide a local base for the repair, refurbishment and maintenance of mining and quarrying equipment in Kazakhstan. The stand also featured CAMS Machinery scale models, giving visitors an opportunity to explore another part of our business. For CAMS, the exhibition was three days of discussions with existing and potential partners, mining companies, equipment manufacturers and other industry professionals.
We discussed opportunities for cooperation, equipment refurbishment, component supply and technical service, while gaining a closer understanding of the priorities and challenges shaping the Kazakhstan mining market. These conversations reinforced the importance of developing local engineering and service capabilities and of looking at equipment beyond the initial purchase. At CAMS, we aim to provide support across the equipment lifecycle – from machinery and OEM components to component refurbishment, repair and technical service.
This approach allows mining companies to view equipment not simply as a one-time investment, but as an asset whose performance, reliability and service life can be actively managed. We would like to thank everyone who visited the CAMS stand, shared their expertise and discussed technical challenges and potential areas of cooperation with us. We look forward to seeing you again.
